Arline Sadowski passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on May 30, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the cherished daughter of the late Klemens and Genevieve Chodubski.
Arline was the beloved wife of Richard Sadowski, with whom she shared a loving marriage of nearly 64 years. The two were married on June 23, 1962, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Detroit, and together built a life centered on faith, family, friendship, and adventure.
She was the loving mother of Maria (Brian) Crandall, Richard (Staci) Sadowski, Keith (the late Gina) Sadowski, and Michael (Carolyn) Sadowski. Arline was a proud and devoted Busia to Brianne (William), Mariah (Austin), Olivia, Noah, and Dylan. She was preceded in death by her dear sister, Christine; mother of David and Gregory Wills.
Arline and Richard shared a passion for traveling the world together, whether on guided tours or quiet getaways for just the two of them. Among their favorite destinations were Mexico, Mackinac Island, and Europe. No matter where life took them, they were happiest simply being together.
Arline had a vibrant spirit and a deep love for music and dancing. She especially enjoyed hosting themed gatherings in her home and took great pride in the annual Super Bowl parties she and Richard hosted for 24 consecutive years. She was actively involved in many women’s organizations through the churches she attended and was a constant source of love and support for her family. Arline never missed an important social, school, or family event for her children and grandchildren, always making those she loved feel valued and celebrated.
