Candace Lynn “Candi” Lynn, age 77, formerly of Ravenna, passed away May 7, 2026, while residing at Pebble Creek Healthcare Center.
She was born on August 6, 1948, in Akron, to parents William Gunder and Bobbie Dallas (Irvine) Appel. Candi graduated from Bohecker’s Business School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ravenna.
Candi enjoyed knitting blankets, hats, and scarves, many of which became cherished gifts for family and friends. She was an avid reader with a love for motivational books and will be fondly remembered for her short phone calls with loved ones. While residing at the nursing home, she enjoyed playing bingo, working crossword puzzles, and later spending time playing games on her phone.
She is survived by her two sons, Bill (Tina) Lynn and Chris (Crystal) Lynn; her grandchildren, Brianna, Kyra, Matthew, Ashley, Jarrett, Magdalena, Hanna, and Ashlyn; as well as her great-grandchildren, Ryker, Liam, Veda, Tillie, Millie, Lainey, Lola, Niko, Theodore, and Thatcher.
Candi was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Lynn; and her infant daughter, Angel.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM with a funeral service officiated by Pastor Laurie Metzko at 12:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E Main St, Ravenna. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
