Carolyn Lee McMillen

Carolyn Lee McMillen, age 91, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, in Turlock, California.

She was born on December 4, 1934, in Kansas City, Kansas, to John Clay South and Violet G. Quaintance. Carolyn grew up alongside her siblings, older brother Glen Leonard Hansen and younger sister Arlene Kay Walker.

On November 23, 1951, Carolyn married the love of her life, Robert Eugene McMillen, at First Christian Church in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Together they built a life centered on family, love, and enduring commitment.

Carolyn is survived by her five children: Robert Eugene McMillen II, David Mark McMillen (Maria), Theresa Marie McMillen (Ray), John Carlos McMillen (Sylvia), and John Wheeler. She was a proud grandmother to 19 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to 23 great-grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the family she nurtured.

Carolyn will be remembered for her devotion to her faith, family, and friends. She touched the lives of so many with her strength, warmth and love. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home in the Heritage Chapel, located at 900 Santa Fe Avenue in Hughson, CA on April 30, 2026, from 9AM to 10AM. A funeral service will follow at 10:30AM. Immediately taking place after the funeral service will be the graveside ceremony, taking place at Lakewood Memorial Park in the Garden of Love.
