Mrs. Cecelia Janelle Johnson McCullough, age 78, a native of Tuscaloosa, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5th, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. McCullough was a member of Fulton Road Baptist Church for 64 years. Her faith was an important part of her life and the foundation she relied upon for raising her four children while cultivating a loving Christian home and providing a gleaming example of how to be a faithful wife and mother. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her every happiness.
She worked at Mack’s Alignment & Brake Service for 19 years alongside her husband, Don A. McCullough, Sr., where she was the secretary and bookkeeper and was fondly known for her greeting when answering the telephone.
Mrs. McCullough was preceded in death by her father, William Monroe Johnson, Sr., her mother, Martha Bonner Johnson, her brother, William Monroe "Billy" Johnson, Jr., her sister, Barbara Ann Johnson, and her granddaughter, Sarah Ann McCullough. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Don A. McCullough, Sr., her daughters, Dee Anna (Michael) Little and Nikki Alexandra McCullough, both of Mobile, and her sons, Don A. (Oriana) McCullough, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and Adam David (Kimberly) McCullough of Belforest, AL, twelve grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers-in-law, 4 sisters-in-law, multiple nieces and nephews, and her very best friend of 68 years who was more like a sister, Brenda Frost Raines.
Visitation will be Friday, May 8, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a chapel service immediately following. A graveside service will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.pinecrestfuneralhome.com
