Clarence "C.J." Donald Wagner

Clarence “C.J.” Donald Wagner passed on May 9, 2026, at the age of 79, having been born on May 2, 1947, and residing in Picayune, Mississippi.

He was the beloved husband of Kathy Wagner for 58 years; father of Tammy McDonald (Randy) and the late Steve Wagner (Leslie); grandfather of Randy McDonald Jr. (Liz), Jessica Craft (Lane), Brianna McDowell, and Dalton Wagner; great grandfather of Bryson Craft, Anna Leigh Craft, and Mary McDonald; son of the late Leo Wagner and Wenola Wagner; grandson of the late Clarence “Buck” Gomez and Esther Gomez who proudly raised him; brother of Diane Larson (John), Cheryl Gerten (Mike), and Craig Wagner. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

C.J. was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force who did not really feel at home until his American flag was waving in the yard. He worked in communications for forty years, both in the military and with Tomba Communications. He was an avid bowler, who was known to be very competitive, especially with his son. He is remembered as an incredible family man, who lived for his family, especially his daughter.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the Mass. Interment will follow the Mass at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale.
