David R. Oberosler passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on May 10, 1950, in Las Vegas, Nevada to Rudolph and Newrene Oberosler.
David married the love of his life, Victoria Monaghan, on July 20, 1974, in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Together they built a life centered on love, family, service, and dedication. They made their home in Strasburg, Colorado.
David proudly served his country in the United States Army for 23 years, retiring with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer III. Following his military career, he continued his pursuit of knowledge and education, earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in science from Regis University.
David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Victoria; his daughter April, (husband Brian), and grandchildren William, Grace-Lynn, and Liam; his son David, (wife Amanda), and grandchildren David Jr, Alex, Lucas, Andrew, and Colton; his son Bryan, (wife Danielle), and grandchildren Bryan Jr, Trenten, and Landen, and his daughter Jennifer(wife Alexis). His grandson William is engaged to be married to his love Samantha.
He is also survived by his siblings Terry Kocher, Glenn Fournier, and Wayne Fournier. He was preceded in death by his siblings Linda and Lloyd Jones.
David found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. He was an avid gardener and reader, loved traveling the world, and enjoyed watching historical movies and learning about history. Above all else, David deeply loved his wife, his family, and his faithful dog, Leo.
A small family service with military honors and taps will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Olinger Hampden Mortuary, Cremation & Cemetery.
David will be remembered for his strength, intelligence, sense of humor, devotion to family, and honorable service to his country. His love and legacy will live on in all who knew him.
