Doris Kay Reichner Savel, 96, of Tamarac, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026.

Born on August 5, 1929, in Brooklyn, New York, Doris was a woman of intelligence, curiosity, and strength from an early age. She attended James Madison High School and went on to study at Hunter College, building a strong educational foundation that would guide her throughout her life.

Doris began her professional life as a teacher and later worked as a paralegal, where her sharp mind and attention to detail earned her the respect of colleagues and peers. She was also a successful businesswoman, known for her determination, savvy and capabilities.

A lifelong learner, Doris was a voracious reader and a highly accomplished bridge player, achieving the level of Grand Master. She found great joy in cooking, traveling, and golfing-- embracing life with enthusiasm and grace.

Above all, Doris was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Louis Paul Savel (dec), and a loving mother to her children: Jedd, Carin, Dava, and Scott and his wife Ali. She was a proud and treasured grandmother to Jonathan, Oliver, Miranda, Lucy, Jessie, Scarlet, and Sasha.

Doris will be best remembered for her keen intellect, warmth, and unwavering dedication to her family. She touched so many lives and was deeply respected by all who knew her.

The Savel family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, May 5th, 12:00-8:00, at 12669 Machiavelli Way, Palm Beach Gardens.
