Edward Charles Leadley

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Charles Leadley, our beloved father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. Edward passed away peacefully on May 8th, 2026, at the Dartmouth General Hospital at the age of 93.

Ed leaves behind a large family, he was predeceased by his loving wife Helen, son Arthur, daughters Joyce and Brenda. As well as his mother Marie, brothers Bill, Harold, Doug and his sister Shirley.

Ed is survived by his children Kim, Joanne (Kevin), Beth, Debbie, Darlene, Duncan (Donna) and Cherie (Wade) and Gerry. His brother George. Along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.

Ed grew up in Halifax, then spent 42 years living in Calgary before returning to spend his remaining years with family in Halifax. Ed would light up a room with his smile and infectious laugh. He loved to tell jokes and spend his time watching hockey. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan and also enjoyed watching baseball.

Many thanks to the incredible doctors, nurses and staff at the DGH, and his family doctor, Dr. Adesiyan. Cremation has taken place. No service upon request.
