Guadalupe Polanco, 79, of Pharr, Texas, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Guadalupe lived a life rooted in compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

She was married to her beloved husband, Fernando Polanco, for 62 years—a testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they built a large and loving family. Guadalupe was a proud and dedicated mother to her nine children: Fernando Jr.(Amelia) Juan Pedro(Bertha), Mercedes (Sergio), Patricia(Elpidio), Valentina (preceded in death), Bernabe (Sandra), Ruby (Rafael) Belén, and Nydia Guadalupe.

Her legacy continues through her 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren, all of whom were touched by her warmth, wisdom, and boundless affection.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by her parents, Anita and Bernabe Garcia, as well as her six brothers: Genaro, Gilberto, Juan, Jaime, Javier, and Jesus. She is survived by her loving husband, her children, and her four sisters: Teresa, Martha Elena, Ana Bertha, y Reyes and two brothers: Gerardo y Jorge Garcia, along with a large extended family who will forever cherish her memory.

Known for her love of cooking, Guadalupe found joy in preparing meals that brought her family together. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and love. She had a generous heart and a nurturing spirit—always ready to offer care, kindness, and affection to anyone in need. She never turned anyone away and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved.

Guadalupe Polanco will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
