Jack Jason Simmons, 72, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Jason was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Mildred McCook. He was the former owner of Brown’s Eye Center. He was an avid football fan, enjoyed history and reading. Jason was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his daughter, Alanna Martinez of Macon, son, Billy (Diane) Simmons of Hilton Head, SC, granddaughter, Emily Martinez of Macon, siblings, Mike (Cheryl) Simmons, Todd (Janice) Fitzgibbons, Susan (Greg) Abernathy, and Gregg (Dee Dee) Fitzgibbons, wife, Diane Simmons and best friend, Jimmy Womack and several nieces and nephews.
Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road has charge of the arrangements.
