With profound love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and the heart of our family, Josefina de la Torre, who passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026, at the age of 73.
Josefina was born on June 3, 1952, in Ciudad Juárez and spent her life creating a home filled with warmth, strength, faith, and unconditional love in El Paso. She was a woman whose presence brought comfort to everyone around her — graceful, resilient, intelligent, and deeply devoted to her family.
She had a gift for humor and was known for her funny sayings—always able to make others smile and feel at ease. But above all, she was cherished for something far greater than what the eye could see. When people spoke of her, they often said she was beautiful—yet the truest meaning was that she was beautiful inside. Kindness, warmth, and a generous spirit showed in everything she did.
For 55 beautiful years, Josefina shared her life with her devoted husband, Raul de la Torre. Together, they built a family founded on love, hard work, and steady loyalty. She was a proud and loving mother to four children: Raul Carlos de la Torre Jr., who preceded her in passing in 1999, Alejandra de la Torre, Oscar de la Torre, and Amanda Lubcke.
While she loved her whole family, her greatest love was her nine grandchildren. Their lives mattered to her, and their happiness was a priority—something she lived for. That love was at the center of everything—something she carried with her and showed in a thousand everyday ways.
Josefina had a gentle spirit and a quiet elegance about her. She effortlessly bridging generations and cultures with kindness and warmth. She had the rare ability to make people feel safe, welcomed, and deeply cared for. Whether through a conversation, a meal shared at her table, or simply her comforting presence, she made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She was the foundation of our family — Her strength was not loud, but constant. Her love was not temporary, but everlasting.
The family finds peace in knowing she is reunited with her beloved son, Raul Carlos de la Torre Jr. and her mother Pepita, and that her beautiful spirit will continue to watch over all who loved her.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our mom
