Keith I. Taylor

Keith I. Taylor, 92, of Cape Coral, FL passed on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 in the Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Homer Taylor, a brother, Ralph, two sisters, Virginia and Lenore, and a son, Steven C. Taylor.

Mr. Taylor was born in Ft. Myers, FL but lived his childhood years in Felda, FL. A graduate of LaBelle High School, he also attended the University of Miami and Southeastern Bible College.

He is survived by his beloved spouse of 43 years, Colleen, of Cape Coral, FL, sons, David Taylor of Ft Myers, Mark Morig (Michele) of Kingsland, GA, daughters, Becky (NL) Hayes of Hendersonville, NC, Kelly Sheffler of The Villages, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and one great-great-grandson.

Mr. Taylor was a general contractor servicing SWFL for over 50 years. He retired from Taylor-Pansing, Inc. in 2007. Mr. Taylor lived a remarkably full and impactful life, leaving behind a significant legacy in Southwest Florida through both the thousands of homes and commercial buildings he built and the family he cherished.

Mr. Taylor was a member of First Assembly of God, singing in the choir for many years. He was best known for his easy-going nature and his passion for fishing, boating, and playing games.

A celebration of life will be held at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd S, Cape Coral, FL 33991 on Saturday, May 23rd with a gathering of friends and family at 10am, Celebration of Life service at 11, and inurnment at noon. Following the inurnment, guests are invited back to Colleen’s home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice.
