Linda "Mimi" Sue Russell

Linda S. "Mimi" Russell, 80, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026 at UL Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.

Linda was born in New Albany, IN to the late Kenneth “Skip” and Louise Mayberry. During her younger years, she had worked for LG&E and Bacons Department Store, and she volunteered for Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years David Russell; children Tammy Thomas and Mark Russell (Tara); a sister, Pam Couch (Jim); grandchildren Meredith Violette (Chase), Emily Russell, and Ben Russell (Erica); and great-grandchildren Barrett and Beau. She was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Mayberry II.

Her funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, with private entombment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday.
