Margie J. Short

Margie J. Short was born on June 20, 1940 and went to her Heavenly home on May 1, 2026, at the age of 85, born June 20, 1940, and was a resident of Tazewell, Tennessee.

She was saved at an early age and was a longtime member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.

Margie was preceded in death by her son Danny Rowland; parents Clyde and Ida Fultz; siblings Little Joe Fultz, Junior Fultz, John Fultz, Charlie Fultz, Onie Fultz, Della Smith, and Mary Ruth Smith.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years Bill Short. Daughter Sue (Sisle) Johnson. Grandson Matthew Rowland. Great Grandchildren Emma, Gavin, Gage, and Laken. Sisters Cohleen Ball Dentler and Jane Estep. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Beacon Hospice for their loving care of Margie, as well as her caregivers Peggy Jessie, Candace Cinniamon, and Holly Short.

The family will have a graveside service on Monday May 4, 2026 at 3 PM in Fairview Cemetery. Please meet at Fairview Cemetery.
