Marylou Horton

Marylou Horton, born on November 28, 1954, in Lasalle, QC, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, in Pointe-Claire, QC, after a relentless battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her husband, Bob, and her son, Marty, during her final moments.

Marylou is survived by her beloved sons: Jason, his wife Christina, and their two sons, Liam and Miles; and Marty, his wife Jen, along with their daughters Victoria, Melody, and son Michael. She also leaves behind her cherished grandson Felix and granddaughter Annabelle from her son Justin, who predeceased her in 2013.

Her siblings Jane and Robbie will also miss her dearly, along with her brother Alan, who predeceased her.

Marylou was the heart of her family, the unwavering love of Bob’s life, and a source of strength and support to her sons. She embraced the chaos of raising three boys with grace, always ready to lend a helping hand or open her home to their friends. It was common for her to be surrounded by extra children who affectionately called her “Mom,” as she welcomed them with open arms, often feeding them and providing a safe haven.

A lifelong, if casual, hockey fan, Marylou recently discovered a newfound enjoyment for watching CFL and NFL football on television. Her beloved Sheltie, Casey, will be waiting at the door, ready to greet her with love.

Marylou’s greatest joy came from her children and, perhaps even more, her grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, whether in person or through FaceTime and phone calls. Her love knew no bounds, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In honor of Marylou’s spirit and love, the family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate her life and share memories on Sunday, May 10th 2026 from 11 am to 4 pm., with eulogies at 1 pm. at Voluntas Funeral Home, 4695 St-Jean Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Québec H9H 2A7.
