Michael Martin Fillmore

May 7, 2026 Dignity Memorial

Michael Martin Fillmore was born May 10, 1940, in Bakersfield, CA.

The son of Bud and Hasel Fillmore, Mike grew up in Weedpatch, a place he was always proud to call home.

A Veteran of the United States Army, Mike served with honor until 1965. It was in that same year that he met Mary Alice Robinson, whom he married in 1967 and shared nearly 50 years of devotion until her passing in 2016.

Mike was a dedicated employee of Harrington Plastic for many years, where he formed meaningful friendships and his annual “lunch with the guys”. He had a group of buddies who shared his love for cars. They met 3 times a week for breakfast and he always looked forward to those mornings, especially Mt Baldey, his favorite.

Mike is survived by his sister Linda and brother-in law, Earnie Davidson. His nephews; Michael K. Fillmore, Danny C. Fillmore, Todd Davidson and niece Penny Pasak; plus, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary, and his parents.

The family would like to give a special thanks to John Carbett, Dennis Wiskus and Dave Brawley for always being there for him. Their understanding and support in these last few years has meant the world to Mike’s family. They also couldn’t have done this without his Caregiver Waty, She is the best and will forever be a part of the family.

Throughout his journey, Mike’s nephew, Mike Fillmore, provided unwavering support, having walked alongside his uncle for many years, Mike remained deeply committed to honoring his Uncle Mike’s wishes to the fullest.

A special Thank You to Hoffman Hospice who helped guide him on his final journey.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday May 14th at 11AM Hillcrest Memorial Park located at 9101 Kern Canyon Rd Bakersfield, CA 93306.
