Nelson Modlin

Passed away peacefully in his 98th year on April 11, 2026. Beloved husband of Carol Modlin (Kagan). Loving father of Harvey and Phyllis Modlin and Carolyn Modlionsky. Loving step-dad of Ilana Soifer (and Dennis), Melanie Tinianov (and Phil) and Donna Soifer (and Matt). Adored Zaidy of Corey Shaw, Erica Modlin, Ryan Modlin, Jonathan Cohen, Adam Cohen, Rebecca Levine, Brandon Glass, Justin Glass, the late Jenna Wilder, and Kayli Wilder. Predeceased by his parents and siblings. He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and in-law families, and sadly missed by his many friends. Nelson served as Past Grand Chancellor of the Knights of Pythias; Chancellor Commander of Judaea Lodge Number 52 of the Knights of Pythias, and was a proud veteran of Branch 256 of the Royal Canadian Legion. The laughter he created with his sense of humour will be missed.
