Nora "La Cuata" Guerrero Navarro

It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we announce the passing of Nora Guerrero “La Cuata” Navarro. At the age of 71, Nora passed away surrounded by family on May 4, 2026. Originally from Hebbronville, Texas, Nora resided in Falfurrias with her husband, Homer S. Navarro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor Guerrero and Beatriz Martinez Guerrero.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Homer S. Navarro; her children, Yvanna (Luciano) Navarro Estrada of Austin, Texas, and Iris (Vincent) Navarro Spadafore of San Antonio, Texas; her two grandchildren, Lorelai and Victor; mother-in-law, Maria Navarro; siblings; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Nora dedicated her life to caring for those she loved and brought warmth, laughter, and unforgettable memories to all. She believed in helping others and lived that belief through both her work and her daily actions and prayers.

Music and dancing were among Nora’s greatest joys and were a part of who she was. Especially fond of the lively rhythm of cumbias, she never missed a chance to dance or encourage others to join in. Her vibrant personality, infectious laugh, and quick wit made life fun and filled many moments with joy and laughter. Her greatest joy in life was being surrounded by family and creating lasting memories.

Nora was a devoted wife, a proud mother to Yvanna and Iris, and an adoring grandmother whose family meant everything to her. She also shared a special bond with her five siblings: Sylvia (Rene) Martinez, Victor (Alicia) Guerrero, Roberto (Sally) Guerrero, Bertha (Juan) Zamora, and Dora “La Cuata” Flores. She showed great love and offered support and encouragement to all of her extended family.

Pallbearers are brother Roberto Guerrero Sr., nephew Roberto Guerrero Jr., son-in-law Luciano Estrada, son-in-law Vincent Spadafore, nephew Martin Navarro, and nephew Ricardo Munoz. Honorary pallbearers are brother Victor Guerrero Jr. and grandson Victor Navarro Estrada.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams, 1208 South St. Mary’s, Falfurrias, TX 78355, on May 16, 2026, beginning at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Rosary at the same location at 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 304 S. Caldwell St., Falfurrias, TX 78355, on May 16, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Sauceda Cemetery in Rios, TX, 474 County Road 223, Concepcion, TX 78349, at 1:30 p.m.
