Phyllis M. Miller, 97, of Davenport, IA, passed away peacefully into the waiting arms of her beloved Wally on Friday, May 1, 2026…their 77th wedding anniversary.
Phyllis M. Arp was born on July 12, 1928, in Davenport, IA, to Arnold and Mabel (Roehlk) Arp. She attended schools in Maysville and Davenport. She married the love of her life, Wallace “Wally” Miller on May 1, 1949, in Davenport, IA. He passed away on February 17, 2022.
Phyllis was a strong, loving, kind, generous woman who loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed going to flea markets for collectibles, going to the beach, and especially traveling with her husband.
Surviving are her children, Bonnie (Randy) Meyer, New Liberty, IA, Barry (Diana) Miller, East Moline, IL, Beverly (Patrick) Ryan, Davenport, IA, and Bradley (Pam) Miller, Calamus, IA; 17 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 30 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley (Richard) Fidlar, West Des Moines, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lester Arp; sisters, Lenora (Wayne) Paulson and Jean (Lorraine) Rock; and her grandson, Thomas.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House for their wonderful care and compassion during Phyllis’s journey.
