It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father Ronald William White on May 4th, 2026.
Born November 18th, 1936, Ron grew up in Pointe-St-Charles and spent time serving in the Royal Canadian Navy in Churchill, Manitoba and Moncton, New Brunswick. Married in 1958 to Maureen O'Reilly, he was a loving father to Catherine (Gordon), Robert and Gary. He was a loving grandfather to Ryan, Liam, Emma and Benjamin.
He had a long and successful career with the City of Westmount most prominently as Director of Purchasing and Stores. His leisure time was spent with his family, and he volunteered with the minor hockey and soccer associations in Verdun. Ron was a devoted, lifelong fan of the Montreal Canadiens. He spent his last years at Manoir Westmount where his companion Barbara Tetrault and her daughter Jill brightened his days.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends are invited to remember Ron through a donation to the Rotary Club of Westmount which founded and operates Manoir Westmount through its Board of Directors.
