Roy Wilbur Miller Jr., 76, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026. Born on January 17, 1950, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Roy Miller and Betty “Staubs” Miller.
Roy enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially spending time fishing, visiting the Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races to bet on horses, and calling out bingo numbers for friends at Ambrose Towers.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Plumber; his sons: Jody Miller and Roy Miller “RJ”; his sisters: Linda Miller, Wanda Barrett, and Diana Turner; brother, Ricky Miller; several nieces, nephews and grandchildren; and his dear friend, Lisa Neely.
In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his son, Jody Ruppenthal; his brothers: Roger Miller and Gary Miller; and his sister, Gloria Baker.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 12:00pm until the start of funeral services at 1:00pm. Roy will be laid to rest at Rosedale Cemetery.
