Ruth Evelyn Reinbold, 90, passed peacefully on May 5, 2026. She was born July 1, 1935, to Floyd and Vera Knoblett in Flat Rock, Illinois. Ruth was a resident of Normal, Illinois.
Ruth found her greatest joy in time spent with family—sharing laughter, conversation, and the steady warmth of simply being together. Her hands were rarely still, and her creativity showed in the many arts and crafts she enjoyed. She loved sewing, baking, gardening, traveling, crocheting and exploring different places, always appreciating the beauty and interest each new day could hold. In the home, she was known for the world’s best chili and bread making. She enjoyed listening to music, attending performances and wasn’t afraid to try anything new.
Ruth lived a life guided by unwavering faith, finding strength, purpose and joy in her relationship with the Lord. Though she has left this earthly life, her soul rests in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father, where she has found eternal peace. She embraced the communities she lived in throughout her life including the Masonic Order of the Eastern Star in Tucson, Arizona and the choir at Carlock Christian Church, Carlock, IL.
Ruth is survived by her daughters, Karen (Ken) Sutter, Sally (Tom) Donnelly, and Kathy (Mike) Bachman; her brother, Donald Knoblett; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her sisters in-law, Jeanette Knoblett and Louise Trost; her brother in-law, Tony Lessman; and a host of family and friends who will continue to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Vera Knoblett; her brother, Leonard Knoblett; her nephew, Scott Knoblett; her niece, Lynn Knoblett; her sisters-in-law, Nancy Knoblett and Shirley Lessman.
A celebration of life at a later date.
