Sandro Petroni

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sandro Petroni on May 10, 2026, at 88 years old, surrounded by the love of his family, on Mother’s Day.

He leaves behind his wife Clara, his children Anna, (Michael), Davide (Andrea) and his cherished grandchildren Giuliano and Raffaella, who filled his heart with endless love and were his world in every way.

He is also survived by his sister-in-law Maria (wife of Leo) and his beloved brother Igino, his last living sibling in Italy.

Sibling to Luigi, Maria, Elsa, Giuseppa, Amelio and Leo, all of whom have predeceased him.

Sandro also leaves behind many nieces, nephews including Marco (Fernanda), Natalina (Joel) and the late Carla, numerous relatives, as well as friends in Montreal and in Italy, all of whom will remember him with deep affection and love.

Proud of his roots from San Lorenzo in Campo, a tirelessly hard worker, and a generous man who was always ready to help family, friends, and neighbours, Sandro had a genuine love for getting to know people, often asking questions and taking a sincere interest in their lives, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who met him.

A special thanks to the staff at Lasalle Hospital for their care and attention over the last week, from Dre Charette and Nurses, Rachel, Amal, Amel and Elena.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday May 23rd at 10:30 am at Sainte-Catherine-de-Sienne Parish (7070 Somerled Avenue) followed by a mass in his honour at 11 am.

È con profonda tristezza che annunciamo la scomparsa di Sandro Petroni, avvenuta il 10 maggio 2026, all’età di 88 anni, circondato dall’amore della sua famiglia, nel giorno della Festa della Mamma.

Lascia la sua moglie Clara, i suoi figli Anna (Michael) e Davide (Andrea), e i suoi adorati nipoti Giuliano e Raffaella, che riempivano il suo cuore di amore infinito ed erano il suo mondo in ogni senso.

Nel dolore anche sua cognata Maria, moglie di Leo, e il suo amato fratello Igino, ultimo fratello vivente in Italia.

Fratello di Luigi, Maria, Elsa, Giuseppa, Amelio e Leo, tutti deceduti prima di lui.

Sandro lascia inoltre numerosi nipoti tra cui Marco (Fernanda), Natalina (Joel) e la compianta Carla, molti parenti e amici a Montréal e in Italia, che lo ricorderanno con profondo affetto e amore.

Orgoglioso delle sue radici di San Lorenzo in Campo, era un lavoratore instancabile e un uomo generoso, sempre pronto ad aiutare la familia, gli amici e vicini, Sandro amava conoscere le persone, facendo spesso domande e monstrando un sincero interesse per le loro vite, lasciando un ricordo affettuoso in chiunque lo abbia incontrato.

Un sentito ringraziamento al personale dell’Ospedale LaSalle, per le cure e l’attenzione ricevute durante l’ultima Settimana. In particolare alla Dottoressa Charette e alle infermiere Rachel, Amal, Amel ed Elena.

La famiglia riceverà le condoglianze sabato 23 maggio 2026 alle ore 10:30 presso la Parrocchia Sainte-Catherine-de-Sienne (7070 Somerled Avenue), seguite dalla messa in suo onore alle ore 11:00.

In luogo dei fiori, si prega gentilmente di considerare una donazione alla Fondazione dell’Ospedale LaSalle.
