Tyler Cole Benton, 16, of Fallston, Maryland, passed away on May 5, 2026. Tyler was born on August 17, 2009.
He was a junior at Fallston High School, where he was known for his bright spirit, kind heart, and the joy he brought to those around him.
Tyler was an easygoing, happy kid who could go with the flow and found joy in the simple things in life. He never missed school because he genuinely enjoyed learning and being around his friends and teachers.
Tyler loved spending time at the beach with his family, going hunting and fishing, attending car shows and amusement parks, and visiting the racetrack. He had a love for music and concerts, and he especially enjoyed Wawa subs.
He cherished being with family and friends and had a special bond with animals, particularly his beloved dog, Koda.
He is lovingly remembered by his father, Michael Walter Benton, and Amanda Lynn Griffin; his mother, Amanda Gail Regester, and Brian Joseph Debole; and his brother, Nicholas Ryan Benton. Tyler was a cherished grandson to Walter Benton and Jane Neal on his father’s side, and Mary and David Regester on his mother’s side. He is also survived by his aunt, Amber Gonzalez, and uncle, Richie Gonzalez, and their children, as well as his cousins Kendall Fox, Bentley Henry, and Kenny Powell III.
The family will be creating a memory chest and would greatly appreciate any pictures or short memories that friends and loved ones can share, which may be read on hard days or holidays as a way to remember Tyler’s life and the joy he brought to everyone around him.
Tyler will be deeply missed by all who knew him, remembered for his warmth, laughter, and the love he shared with family, friends, and all the creatures he adored.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Fallston Firehouse in Tyler’s remembrance. The family is profoundly grateful to the Fallston Firehouse, who responded immediately to Tyler’s accident and gave their absolute best to try to save him. Their courage, dedication, and care will always be remembered with heartfelt appreciation. https://www.fvfac.org/content/donations/
