William Eugene Owens, 76 of Hickory, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. William was born in Cleveland County, NC to the late Renzo Caris Owens and Mary Black. He was also preceded in death by his 2 brothers: Alfred Owens and Caris Owens, sister Joyce Ward and one grandchild Matthew Starr Owens.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kim Barnette Owens, sons; Paul Eugene Owens (Laura), William Joseph Owens (Sabrina), Jason Matthew Owens (Stephanie), grandchildren; Brock Owens, Noah Owens, Isla Owens, Jack Owens, Liam Owens, Evan Owens, Joy Davis and Garrett Alexander.
A Graveside service will be held for Mr. Owens on Friday, May 15th, 2026 at 12:00 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Hickory with Pastor Bill Millinor officiating.
