Gloria Himelda Caicedo

Gloria Himelda Caicedo passed on April 14, 2026, at the age of 84.

Known for always having a lovely set of nails and a graceful presence, she brought beauty and care into everything she did. She had a passion for flowers, and her flourishing garden reflected the beauty she nurtured in life, both in nature and people.

She lived a life rooted in faith and service, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be remembered for her deep love for God and her tireless dedication to sharing His word, especially with children. For many years, she served joyfully as a Sunday School teacher, planting seeds of faith in young hearts that will continue to grow for generations.

Her life was a testament to the scripture: "Well done, good and faithful servant... enter into the joy of your Lord."

Gloria was preceded in death by her mother, Sara Torres; her father, Abdon Torres; her sister, Herlinda Torres; and her brother, Manuel Torres. She is survived by her husband, Hernan Caicedo; her daughter, Zahira Hurtado Caicedo (Gonzalo); her sons, Hernan Caicedo and Nestor Caicedo (Amber); and her grandchildren, Jonathan Hurtado, Vanessa Hurtado, Sebastian Caicedo, Noah Caicedo, Bella Caicedo, Wyatt Caicedo, and Amaya Caicedo.

Visitation will be held at Chapel of Eternal Peace at Forest Park, 2454 S Dairy Ashford, Houston, TX 77077, US, on April 20, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 8200 Roos Rd, Houston, TX 77036, US, on April 21, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
