Stanley Hunt

The J.F. Fortin Funeral Home Inc. of Chandler announces the passing of Mr. Stanley Hunt of Pabos Mills, which occurred at the CISSS de la Gaspésie, Chandler Hospital, on March 25, 2026, at the age of 90 years and 10 months. He was the husband of the late Isabelle Huntington and the son of the late Thomas Hunt and the late Elizabeth Jane Murphy of Pabos Mills.

He is survived by:his children Connie (Perry) and Stewart,his grandchildren Mike and Megan,his great-grandson Marshall,his brother Brian (Francine),his sisters Martha and Lucy,several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Besides his wife and parents, Stanley has gone to join his brothers Richard, Hubert and Bernard as well as his sisters Patricia, Anita, Carmelle, Isabelle, Bertha and Ethel, who predeceased him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to sincerely thank all the staff of Home Care, as well as the staff of Palliative Care and Ward 200 at the Chandler Hospital Centre for their dedication, empathy, and the excellent care provided to their father.

Professional services were entrusted to J.F. Fortin Funeral Homes Inc., a subsidiary of the HG Division network, certified Distinction by the Corporation of Funeral Directors of Quebec and the Quebec Standards Bureau.
