Born in Percé, QC, Carmelita Marie Aubert passed away in Gatineau on May 29, 2026 at the age of 94 years, 11 months, after a long and healthy life. She was the wife of the late Albert Simoneau.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kevin (Karen) of Fergus, ON; Mel of Gatineau, QC and Sonia (Tim) of Ottawa, ON; she was adored by her grandchildren, Rachelle (Alex) of Paris, France; Eric (Catalina) of Montreal, QC and Graham of Ottawa, ON, and by her great-grandsons, Eliot and Tomas. She will also be missed by her sister Erin (Doris) of Percé, QC, as well as by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her sister Lillian and brothers, Edwin, Augustin, Ludger, and Hubert, and by Albert’s nine sisters and their spouses.
Her funeral will be held in Gaspé at a later date.
We will dearly miss her sense of humour, her love for her family, and her delicious fudge.
May she rest in peace.
