Carolyn (Carol)Elizabeth Bowers Rather passed away on May 14, 2026 surrounded by her sisters in Richland, MS.
She was born in Jackson, Mississippi to Robert Arthur Bowers and Helen Louise Bridges Bowers on May 15, 1952.
Carol was preceded in death by, ex husband Mickey Case, and her parents Robert Arthur Bowers and Helen Louise Bridges Bowers.
Carol is survived by her sisters and brothers and their families, Nancy Brown (Wayne), Robert D Bowers, Gary Bowers (Rita) of Florence, MS, Brenda Bowers (niece Lauren Bowers) of Richland, MS, Frances Hinton of Macon GA, step-daughter Christy Vick (Kirby), 2 grand children and many nieces/nephews, great nephews/nieces and great great nieces/nephews.
Carol worked at the VA Hospital in multiple roles until retirement in 2023. She loved life and had plans to travel the world.

Hickory Ridge Baptist Church on Monday, May 18, 2026:
