Charlotte Burgess McBurnett

Charlotte Burgess McBurnett, age 75, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on May 14, 2026. She was born January 14, 1951, to the late Bluford and Dorothy Mayfield Burgess.

She was a graduate of Osborne High School in Marietta, Georgia, and retired from the Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele law firm.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Bluford Burgess, and her brothers, Jerry Burgess, Ronald Burgess, Garry Burgess, and Jeff Burgess.

She is survived by her three children: Kevin Fisher, Kris McBurnett, and Chad McBurnett; grandchildren: Tyler Fisher, Alex Fisher, Nolan McBurnett, and Carter McBurnett; great-grandchildren: Rowan Fisher and Archie Fisher; brother, Phillip Burgess; and sister, Sandra Marks.

Charlotte had a passion for photography and being in nature. She could often be found hiking on the trails of Kennesaw Mountain. Her love for the mountains could only be topped by her love for beaches, lighthouses, and sunsets. St. Simons Island was her favorite beach to visit, as she spent a lot of vacation time there growing up due to family in the area.

She loved spending time with her grandkids and would often take them along on her outdoor adventures. These memories and her passion for the outdoors will have a lasting impact on her legacy. Charlotte will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and loved ones.

Charlotte preferred to not have a funeral or a memorial. Please go out for a hike and take a picture of something in nature in memory of her.
