Clinton Fred Grayum Jr.

Clinton Fred Grayum Jr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and man of deep faith, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and quiet strength.

Clint shared 60 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Jean. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and unwavering commitment.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; his children, Suzanne of The Woodlands; Shelley Murphy and her husband Shawn of Lucas, Texas; and Trey Grayum and his wife Andrea of Kingwood, Texas. He was a proud and loving grandfather, known affectionately as “Papa,” to Avery, Audrey, Reese, Carsyn, and Reid, each of whom brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his sister, Vicki DeWolf, and her husband Steve.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clinton Sr., known as Joe, and his mother, Virginia.

Clint spent most of his life as a home builder in Conroe, Texas, taking quiet pride in his work and the homes he built for families in his community. He was a simple man who loved deeply, believed in doing things the right way, and always put his family first.

Some of his happiest years were spent supporting his children and grandchildren, rarely missing their events and always present in the ways that mattered most. He also found peace in the outdoors, especially while hunting, where he could slow down and enjoy the quiet.

Above all, Clint was a man of God. His faith guided how he lived and how he loved. He was gentle, perceptive, and steady, offering wisdom in a quiet and deliberate way.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his family finds comfort in knowing he is at peace.
