Donna Jean Polk (formerly Stolzenau), 67, passed away on May 19, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida.
Donna lived a life defined by strength, determination, and a deep love for her family and friends. She was a proud United States Air Force veteran and dedicated her life to serving others. Over the years, Donna built a diverse and meaningful career—beginning in the Air Force, then serving as a correctional officer, later working as a pharmacy technician, and ultimately fulfilling her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse, a role she held until her retirement. Beyond her professional life, Donna was passionate about traveling, enjoying time with loved ones, and savoring a good meal paired with a memorable experience. She was known for her sharp intelligence, independence, honesty, loyalty, and outspoken nature, and she cherished her lifelong friendships spanning more than 30 years. Donna loved her children, grandchildren, friends, and family deeply.
Donna was preceded in death by her mother and father and three brothers. She is survived by her sister, Linda; her two daughters, Kenya and Chevonne; and her beloved three granddaughters.
In accordance with Donna’s wishes, cremation arrangements are being handled privately by the family. She hoped to be remembered each time someone enjoys a good meal or raises a beer in her honor.
