Dorothy E. Trout, a longtime resident of Selah, Washington, passed away on May 11, 2026 at the age of 94. Born in 1932 in Yakima, Washington, she lived a full life rooted in community, family, and quiet strength.
Dorothy was the beloved daughter of Ethel and Hoyet Pearce and stepdaughter of Lincoln Blanfield. She was the sister of Barbra, Harvey, Roger, and Clinton and the devoted wife of Robert G. Trout, all of whom predeceased her.
She is survived by her son, Gene, her daughter in law, Marion, and her cherished grandchildren, Brandon, Evan, Tessa, and Elizabeth. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great joy in their lives and accomplishments.
Dorothy will be remembered for her resilience, strong wit, endearing bluntness, and the deep love she showed to all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Friday at 1 pm at West Hills Memorial Park, 11800 Douglas Rd. Arrangements are under the care of Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home.
