Ila McWhirter (Urquhart)

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ila McWhirter (Urquhart), at the age of 82. She passed away at her home in Maria, Quebec on April 16, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Purvis Urquhart. Loving daughter of the late Eric and Queenie McWhirter. Devoted mother to Lori Wheeler, Scott Urquhart and Corey Urquhart.

Lovingly survived by her brother Albert (Jean) McWhirter.

Predeceased by her brothers Arthur, Aldon, Ralph, and Winston McWhirter and sisters Hildred Campbell, Elizabeth Milligan and Thelma Coull. Ila will be sadly missed by family members and friends.

Family and friends will be welcomed to the visitation at the Salon funéraire Henri Thibodeau inc. 221 Chemin Cyr, New Richmond, QC, G0C 2B0 on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from (2:00 pm to 4:00 pm) and from (6:00 pm to 8:00 pm).
Funeral service and interment will be at St-Andrew’s Church, 215 boul. Perron O. New Richmond, QC, G0C 2B0 on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 2:00 pm.Please take note that the day of the funeral there will be not visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers anyone wishing to make a donation in memory of Ila McWhirter can do so to the Canadian Cancer Society.
