She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, her daughter Teresa, her son Steven, and her husband Dewey Henderson.

Jan was a warm and loving grandmother to all of her grandchildren and she always made time for them. She encouraged them in their life pursuits and was always there to lend a listening ear and her support. Family was the most important thing to Jan and it showed in the time and energy she devoted to her children and grandchildren.

Jan had accomplished many things in her life. She was a licensed realtor, a law school graduate, and held a Masters Degree from Azusa Pacific University. She was an officer at many mortgage and banking institutions. She then worked in the medical profession where she retired from Kaiser Permanente.

She was an active member of the community and a long time Placentia resident. Jan was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and the Placentia Historical Committee, a volunteer to the Relay for Life Fundraisers for Cancer Research, and a Love Placentia city-wide volunteer day organizer. She was a member of the Victorian Society and gave tours of the Heritage House at the Fullerton Arboretum and member of the Placentia Founders Society where she once was curator and gave tours of the Bradford House.

During the fall season Jan and her granddaughters would sell persimmons from her orchard at the Farmers Market. A viewing will be held Saturday, May 9th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with a service immediately following at Mc Aualy & Wallace, 902 N Harbor Blvd., Fullerton CA 92832.
