It is with heavy hearts that the family of John Donald McGrady announce his passing on May 18, 2026. He was 90 years old and spent his life taking care of everyone around him.
Don McGrady was a light for Christ and allowed the Lord to guide his life every single day. He was dedicated to his family and friends, and will be missed by everyone who was impacted by him. Don was a hopeful servant in the face of all the hardship he experienced over the last eight years.
Don is survived by his brother, David Varner, his sister, Je’Ann Lloyd, his seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John William McGrady and Virginia Welch Varner, his wife, Gail McGrady, and his sons, Kerry and Kim McGrady.
A celebration of life to honor Don McGrady will be held on Sunday, May 31st at 2:00pm CST at Russell Chapel Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating his life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Russell Chapel Baptist Church.
