Karen Brown Durden

Karen Brown Durden, 62, of Augusta, GA, passed away on April 18, 2026. The daughter of James “Jimmy” Brown and Linda Brown, she worked for the majority of her adult life as a physical therapist before transitioning to real estate. Karen Durden is survived by her three children, Ciera Durden, Karli Nelson, and Jacob Durden. She is also survived by her mother and father, Linda and James Brown, her brother, Barry Brown, and her fiance, Joe Queen. Karen Durden is preceded in death by her brother, James Kelly Brown, and sister, Liana Jo “Lee” Brown, as well as her former husband and father of her children, Joe Durden.

Visitation and ceremony will be held Friday, April 24, 2026, at Bernstein Funeral Home, 3195 Atlanta Hwy., Athens, GA 30606. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with ceremony from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the CSRA Humane Society in her honor.
