Linda Diann Verrell Underwood, Born on May 14, 1950, aged 75, passed away on May 10, 2026, in Dale, TX.

Linda devoted 22 years of her life to the Travis County Sheriff's Department at the Del Valle Correctional Facility, where she retired as a Records Supervisor. Her commitment to public service was paralleled by her dedication to her community, notably through her volunteer work at the Haynie Chapel Food Pantry in Del Valle, TX.

Linda leaves behind a loving family, including her husband Deatrice Underwood of Dale, TX; daughter Tracy Underwood of Bastrop, TX; son Scott Underwood of Cedar Creek, TX; grandchildren Colton Wilson and Callie Banta of Bastrop, TX; and sister Sharon Gladden of Buda, TX. She is also survived by her siblings, June Verrell of Austin, TX, and Freddie Verrell of Bastrop, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie Constani Verrell and Lilly Mae Verrell, and her son, Brian Underwood.

A service to honor Linda's life will be held at Haynie Chapel United Methodist Church, 16309 Greenwood Dr, Del Valle, TX 78617, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, with Visitation at 11AM and Funeral Service at 12 PM.

Linda's life was a testament to her resilience and dedication, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
