Mary Rinehart

Mary Rinehart, 97, of Booneville passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a member of the Sardis Primitive Baptist Church. Christmas was her favorite time of year, she loved spending it with all her family. She also loved traveling and the Smoky Mountains was her favorite place to go. She loved to cook, especially for her family on Thursday nights. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest joys in life.

A celebration of life will be at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Gary Cordes, Elder Pete Perry and Bro. Arthur Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at McMillan Funeral Home and from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Monday at the church.

She is survived by her son, Keith Rinehart (Melissa); her daughter, Carol Miller (Arthur);her grandchildren, Jessica Cartwright (Ronnie), Ashley Lambert (Eric), Sara Pace (Chris), AJ Miller, Brittany McCain (Blake), and Anna Kathryn Simmons (Andrew); her great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Belle, Audrey, Sophia, Ella, Rhett, Avery Kate, and Ann Hayden; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Dora Jefferies; her beloved husband of 68 years K V Rinehart; her son, James Thomas Rinehart; one brother and 5 sisters.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Cartwright, Eric Lambert, Chris Pace, Jerry Newcomb, Blake McCain, and Andrew Simmons.

Honorary pallbearers will be AJ Miller, Rhett Lambert, and Terry Harvel.
