Nola Marie Myers, aged 88, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, in Merced California. A beloved cousin, friend and cherished family member. Nola will be remembered for her warmth, humor, quick wit, and deep love of cats.
Nola graduated from Fresno City College with a degree in History. She later earned her CNA certification and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for approximately 10 years. Throughout her life, she also worked as a secretary for her family’s business, Myers – Ward Tractor Company, a business founded and dearly loved by her father.
She is proceeded in death by her parents; Loyd and Hazel Myers. She is survived by her cousins Charles Myers and Carol Weir; Dan Weir and his wife, Teresa Weir; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
A devoted Christian, Nola loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Central Presbyterian Church in Merced, California. She had a special affection for cats, especially her beloved Emma. Nola treasured time spent with family and friends and was known for her caring spirit and gentle heart.
Nola’s faith, kindness, and love will continue to shine through the many lives she touched. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
A graveside service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on May 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Reverend Dave McGurk of Central Presbyterian Church.
