Passed away in Maniwaki, Quebec on April 9, 2026, at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Joanne. Father of Norm, Jason, and Joel, and proud grandfather to Brody.
Brother of Gordon, Rene, Daniel, Helen, and Ricky. Uncle and great uncle to many.
Norman, also known as Samson / Sancon, was a skilled carpenter and forestry worker, and an incredibly capable bushman. He had a deep love for cars and motorcycles, and was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, who could live off the land. A tremendously hard worker, Norman never missed a day of work.
At once a simple and complex man, Norman could be stubborn and headstrong, but he was also resolute and strong—qualities that defined the way he lived his life.
A celebration of life will be held at McConnery Funeral Home on Friday, April 17, beginning at 10:00 AM, with a service at 2:00 PM.

Est décédé à Maniwaki, le 9 avril 2026, à l’âge de 78 ans. Époux bien-aimé de Joanne, il laisse dans le deuil ses fils Norm, Jason et Joel, ainsi que son petit-fils Brody.
Il était le frère de Gordon, Rene, Daniel, Helen et Ricky. Il laisse également dans le deuil plusieurs neveux et nièces, ainsi que des petits-neveux et petites-nièces.
Norman, également connu sous le nom de Samson / Sancon, était un charpentier et travailleur forestier doué, ainsi qu’un homme des bois d’une grande compétence. Il avait une grande passion pour les voitures et les motos, et était un amateur de plein air et un chasseur aguerri, capable de vivre de la terre. Travailleur acharné, Norman n’a jamais manqué une journée de travail.
À la fois un homme simple et complexe, Norman pouvait se montrer têtu et tenace, mais il était aussi déterminé et fort — des qualités qui ont défini la façon dont il a vécu sa vie.
Une célébration de sa vie se tiendra au salon funéraire McConnery, le vendredi 17 avril, à compter de 10 h, suivie d’une cérémonie à 14 h.
