Elizabeth Hager Bilmes (Betty)

Peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2026, in her hundred and second year. Beloved wife of the late Irving. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Frank and Fran. Cherished grandmother of Matthew Bilmes and Jill Selick, Stewart Bilmes and Ariella Arazi. Proud great-grandmother of Ethan, Justin, Jack, and Luke. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Max and the late Shirley Hager, the late Dorothy and the late Eugene Brumer, and sister-in-law of the late Fanny and the late Abe Green, the late Rose and the late Percy Binksy, the late Phillip and the late Eva Bilmes, the late Abe and the late Lilly Bilmes, the late Doris and the late Max Banofsky. She will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews and family.

There are no words to express our gratitude to Emily, Josie and Maritesse for allowing our Mom to remain independent while at the same time caring for her every need with compassion and patience.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, January 14 at 12:00 p.m. Burial at Adath Israel Poale Zedek Anshei Ozeroff Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane.
