With profound sadness and broken hearts the family of Jack Dym announces his sudden passing on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

Beloved husband and soulmate of Arlene Dym (née Lapkovsky). A patriarch in the truest sense, he was a loving father and father-in-law to Eric and Maria, Mark and Jennifer, Adam and Tamara. Proud "Zeidi" of Jesse, Hannah, Lauren, Sarah, Emma, Shawn, and Jonah, who were the light of his life.

Dear brother and brother-in-law of Martin and Sabina Dym, Sharron Adler, Myrna and Peter Linder, Andrea and Barry Hutkins; and brother-in-law of Steven and Helen Lapkovsky, Robert and Vivian Lapkovsky, Howard and Randi and the late Ricki Lapkovsky. Devoted son of the late Freda and the late Irving Dym z’l, and cherished son-in-law of the late Evelyn and the late Philip Lapkovsky z’l. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and the entire extended family, each of whom shared a unique and special bond with him.

A man of boundless compassion and a true pillar of the community, Jack’s legacy is one of kindness, integrity, and deep devotion to those he loved.

A Past President and lifetime supporter of Congregation Beth Ora, Jack gave generously of his time and heart.

Jean-Talon St. W., on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Beth Ora Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, Dollard-des-Ormeaux. Shiva at his home.
