Paul J. Canizales Jr.

Paul J. Canizales Jr., 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2026. He was born in Cameron, Texas, to his parents, Paul J. Canizales Sr. and Tillie (Hinjosa) Canizales.

Paul lived a full and hardworking life. He was a top salesman for the Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company, where he built a reputation for dedication and excellence. Following his retirement from Schlitz, he continued working as a security guard. He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and played an active role in his community, including organizing the Vidor Youth Football organization.

Paul found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, Mexican food, and spending time with his grandsons riding along the backroads, taking in the scenery and enjoying each other’s company.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cenci Canizales; his son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Lauren LeBlanc; his parents; and several siblings.

Paul is survived by his son, Eddie LeBlanc; his daughter, Debbie; his grandchildren, Dillon LeBlanc and wife Kristine, Nick LeBlanc and wife Chloe, Cassie Polozola and husband Chad, and Eric LeBlanc and wife Brandi; his sisters, Susie Marcum and Amelia Daniels; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family members and friends.
