Paula Lynn Geurin

Paula Lynn Geurin, RN, BSN, born November 22, 1961, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, to James Reid Adkins and Bonnie Melinda Hull Adkins, passed away surrounded by the love of the family she cherished so deeply. A devoted mother, grandmother, nurse, Christian, and friend to all, Paula lived a life defined by compassion, kindness, and service to others.

Paula devoted her entire career to nursing, faithfully serving the public and the State of Texas before retiring to North Carolina. Nursing was never simply a profession to her, it was her true calling. She cared for others with a rare and genuine tenderness, offering comfort, healing, and love to everyone who crossed her path. She never met a stranger, and there was never a person or animal she would not help if she could.

More than anything in this world, Paula loved her family. She was the proud and loving mother of William Paul Geurin and Gina Marie Rahbari. William and his wife, Crystal Geurin, blessed her with two beloved grandsons, Joseph and Robert. Gina and her husband, Arash Rahbari, blessed her with two beautiful granddaughters, Brianna and Camilla. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her heart and the greatest joy of her life.

She is also survived by her younger brother, Ronald Adkins, and his wife Maria, in California. In her retirement in North Carolina, Paula found comfort and companionship with her cherished cats, Thunder and Little Bit, who brought her happiness and peace.

Paula will be remembered for her warm smile, generous spirit, unwavering faith, and the enormous love she gave so freely. She had the kindest heart and a soul that made others feel less alone. Her family will forever carry her love with them and will miss her beyond words.

Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we take comfort in knowing that the same compassion and love she gave to this world will continue to live on through everyone whose life she touched.

She was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed.
