Peter Mendell

Peacefully, at home, our beloved Peter passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Cherished husband of Margie. Loving father of Michael and Anika (Frédéric Tremblay). Proud grandfather of Clara, Zoé, Laure and Beau. Cherished brother of Lorne (Nancy Mendell), and brother-in-law of Elizabeth Gluckstal. Dear uncle of Stephanie (David Hodgson) and Matthew (Linda Alfin Mendell).

Peter will also be deeply missed by his colleagues and friends at Davies, Ward, Phillips & Vineberg, by the many friends with whom he shared a love of music, and by the extended family and friends whose care, support, and affection brought him comfort throughout the past several months. The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Jewish General Hospital for their compassionate care and dedication.

Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Sunday, June 7 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la Forêt.
