Roger Duncan, 82, of Columbia, MO passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in Columbia. Visitation will be Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 10-11am at Memorial Funeral Home 1217 Business Loop 70 West Columbia, MO. Funeral Service will begin at 11am, followed by burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Roger was born September 9, 1943, in Washington, MO to Marvin “Skip” and Alice Phillips Duncan. He was a 1961 graduate of St. Clair High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in information technology from MIZZOU in 1966. While in college, he married Earleen Lewis on June 8, 1963, in Lonedell, MO and started their family. He began his career with McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis before moving to Columbia in 1969 to work for MFA Inc. He worked for over 30 years before retiring. He enjoyed creating stained glass art pieces and he rebuilt and restored their 1962 VW Bug. He liked to tinker and work outside with his sons. He also collected pocket watches and antiques.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Earleen Duncan; children, Aaron (Lisa) Duncan of Columbia, Gary (Stacey) Duncan of Moberly, Alicia (Carl) Swartz of Columbia, and Angela Duncan of Columbia; grandchildren, Crystal, Corey, Julia, Matthew, Andrew, and Ethan; ten great grandchildren; a sister, Gloria Patterson of Columbia, many nieces and nephews and a loving extended family. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Duncan and his parents.
