Sandra Lee (Freeman) Vice

PEKIN ~ Sandra Lee (Freeman) Vice, 83, of Pekin, passed away at 4:44 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born on July 19, 1942 in Pekin, a daughter of William Thomas and Louise N. (Ziebold) Freeman.

Sandra is survived by her three children, Gary (Sue) Cooper of Pingree Grove, Shannon Cooper and Shelby (David) Reese, both of Pekin; two grandchildren, Trevor Reese and Colin Reese, both of Pekin; one great-granddaughter, Saige Rylann; two sisters, Carol Johnson of Canyon Lake, Texas and Norma (Jack) Kaebel of The Villages, Florida; two brothers, Albert Freeman and Curt (Pam) Woolsey, both of Pekin; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Eugene "Gene" Woolsey; one grandson, Dawson Reese; and one brother, William Thomas Freeman, II.

Sandra last worked as a clerk for the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office. She previously worked as the administrative secretary for the Carpenter's Local #644 Benefit Fund.

She loved spending time with family and friends, gardening at her house and crafting.

Sandra was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pekin.

Sandra's funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2026 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pekin. The Rev. Daniel J. Bishop will officiate. Her visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Lancaster Cemetery in rural Glasford.

Arrangements are entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
