Shirley Gertrude Havee, 85, of Danbury, CT passed away after a brief illness at St. John Paul II Center for Healthcare in Danbury.
Shirley was born in Norwalk, CT on Feb. 19, 1941 to the late Robert Merritt and Gertrude Elizabeth Stevens Havee. She attended Norwalk Schools.
Shirley was a longtime resident at Ability Beyond going back more than 30 years. She spent the majority of her time residing in the Independent Living Program in Danbury, and spent her last few years at Pope John Paul.
Shirley was a happily devoted girlfriend and a loyal friend.
She spent her early years working several different jobs, but was most happy when she was able to retire and spend her time drinking coffee, living and hanging out with her boyfriend, John, and visiting all of her friends.
Shirley enjoyed going to aquariums, coffee dates, wearing dresses, and having the prettiest nails- especially if they matched the flower in her hair.
She will be missed by so many here at Ability Beyond, and her Danbury team will certainly carry her in our hearts. Thank you to everyone who ever had the honor to give support to Shirley, she was a lovely woman with a huge heart and the best smile.
She will be laid to rest alongside her longtime partner John Fredlunc, so their love can remain eternal.
Funeral Services will be private and interment will be in South Cemetery, Bridgewater, CT.
Contributions in Shirley's memory may be made to Ability Beyond, 4 Berkshire Blvd., Bethel, CT 06801 or go to www.abilitybeyond.org.
