Wesly Elwood Brander

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Wesly Elwood Brander at the age of 79 on April 2, 2026.

Born on February 2, 1947, in Hamilton, Ontario, he lived a full and meaningful life surrounded by those he loved. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, Kozetta, and his children: Debbie, Tracy (Daryl), Kristin (Matthew), Cherie (Mathieu),Ryan, and stepdaughter, Nestan (Vitold)

He was a proud and loving grandfather to Abbie, Kevin, Thomas, Erin, Amber, Brooke, Dylan, Rodger, Megan, Amelia, Elizabeth, and Avery, and a cherished great-grandfather to Elleanna and Jessa. He leaves behind his sister Bunny, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Sadie and Elwood Brander, and his brother-in-law, Ronald.

In his early years, he built a successful career as a buyer in the retail industry. Wesly was a dedicated and accomplished professional who spent over 30 years leading and shaping the operations of manufacturing and retail businesses. Wesly was respected for his strong decision-making, steady guidance, and the meaningful impact he had on the businesses and people he worked with throughout his career.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and adventure. He created lasting memories on annual family camping trips and took pride in leading troops of Ste-Genevieve Beavers, Cubs and Scouts through the wilderness. In his midlife years, he embraced his adventurous spirit, riding motorcycles across the East Coast of Canada and the United States. In more recent years, his greatest joy came from his long daily walks with his beloved dog, Magnus.

He will be remembered for his strength, his sense of adventure, and his deep love for his family.

He will be forever loved and never forgotten.
